
“Dang” Delicious Dip

Craig took one bite and declared this a dang delicious dip… not the exact words he used, but we’re keeping it family-friendly 😏
This black-eyed pea dip is loaded with green chiles, topped with melty cheddar, and baked until golden and bubbly. Warm, cheesy, just a little spicy, and absolutely scoopable. Don’t be surprised if it disappears fast
Ingredients
1 can black eyed peas, mashed halfway with fork
4 oz diced green chiles
½ cup mayo
1 8 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup parmesan, shredded
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon hot sauce
¼ cup salsa
½ bunch cilantro, chopped
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F.
Drain and rinse the black eyed peas. Put them in a large bowl and mash about halfway with a fork. Add the green chiles, mayonnaise, cream cheese, parmesan cheese, onion powder, hot sauce, salsa, and cilantro, and mix well, so that everything is well combined. Put in a baking dish and cover with cheddar cheese. Place in oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips.
