  • Author: Leora Ellingson

Description

✨The ultimate upgrade✨ to a classic childhood favorite—my Rice Krispy Treats loaded with crushed Oreos and finished with a silky chocolate drizzle. 🤍🍫 These bars are gooey, crunchy, cookies-and-cream perfection in every single bite.

Trust me… one square will never be enough. 😉

Would you try these or stick to the classic?

Ingredients

Scale

½ cup butter

20 oz mini marshmallows

1 4 oz package vanilla pudding

1012 cups rice krispy cereal

1014 oreos, crushed with hands (set aside a few to top the  treats with)

Semi sweet chocolate chips for drizzle

Instructions

Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper.

Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. The key is the low heat.

Add the marshmallows and vanilla pudding mix and cook over low heat until the marshmallows are melted and the mixture is smooth.  In a large bowl, combine the rice krispy cereal and the majority of the crushed oreos.  Pour the smooth marshmallow mix over the cereal/oreo mix and stir until well coated. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan and press it down with a buttered spatula.  Wait until completely cooled.  When cooled, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 20 second bursts, just until runny.  Drizzle over the top and sprinkle with the rest of the crushed oreos.  Cut into squares and serve.

Hi! I'm Leora. I am married to a Battalion Chief (who is also the man of my dreams!), a mom to five grown kids, and a nana to seven darling grandkids! I firmly believe in the importance of putting distractions away and sitting down together for family dinner, and doing so has been a tradition in our home ever since my husband and I got married 30 years ago. In fact, my children still come home often for family dinners, even though most are moved out of the house. My goal is to provide you with delicious recipes that you can share with your loved ones around the table. So, join my family for dinner, and pass your plates!
